Aloha all of you awesome ukulele enthusiasts!
In case you haven’t received your fill of ukulele awesomeness this week, here is a link to photos taken at this year’s Utah Ukulele Festival® by DeLayne Ripplinger from Cache Valley Daily. Mahalo DeLayne for all of the amazing shots!!!
Mahalo nui loa to Denelle Manoa for all of the hard work she put into the festival in organizing all of the vendors, concessions, keeping things running smoothly at the event, manning the welcome booth relentlessly, making sure that those that need to be checked in is checked in, entertainment is organized as well as all of the work she put into the festival during the year like contacting vendors, keeping social media updated, being an awesome mother at home and coordinating all of the participants prior to the event. Its a lot of work and I appreciate her effort and sacrifice. Again Mahalo Denelle
KSL did an amazing job on showing one of the reasons we love putting on the Utah Ukulele Festival. Mahalo to Ray Boone for coming out, helping us share our story, and spreading the Aloha Spirit to all those in Utah. You can check out the transcription and full article on ksl.com
Have you all recouped from the ukulele awesomeness yet? smile emoticon Let us just start off by saying what a great time we had this last Saturday at the 3rd Annual Utah Ukulele Festival®. New friends were made, tasty treats were eaten, lots of great vendors were there for attendees to see, great entertainment was enjoyed by all, and everyone really enjoyed the free workshops/lessons. We cannot help but smile just thinking about the fun we had spreading the Aloha Spirit to all who attended.
We would like to take a little bit of time to say Mahalo to our sponsors: Ko’Aloha Ukuleles • KSM Music • Kala • Jerry and Cynde Buntemeyer • Ohana Ukuleles • Big Kahuna Development Studio • MiSi Electronics Design • Kamaka Hawaii Inc. • Beehive Grill • Ukulele Underground • Camp Chef • Bridger Folk Music Society. They each helped make this year’s festival possible and were all a HUGE part of making it a great success. MAHALO!!!
We would also like to send out a GREAT BIG Mahalo to each one of our performers (Uncle Alex Akina, the UUF Student performers, Julia Olsen, “Ukupelli” Uncle Max Willard, Merinda Young, Meikjn Fielding & Mahana Utah) and instructors (Meikjn Fielding, Uncle Max Willard & Lynn Toone) for taking the time to come out to this year’s Utah Ukulele Festival and share their time and talents with all who attended. We always love hearing how much everyone enjoys each lesson/workshop and performance. So Mahalo nui loa for helping to share a bit of Aloha Spirit with all who attended the festival.
As always, we want to send out a BIG mahalo to each Open Mic participant for this year’s festival. It takes a lot of courage to share your gift with others, and we want to let you know that you are all beautiful and talented individuals. We applaud your courage and spunk. If you didn’t win this year…DO NOT GIVE UP!!! Keep up the amazing work and we will see you out next year!
We would also like to send out a special Mahalo to each vendor that came out and participated. There were a few no-shows, which can throw a wrench in the works, but each one of you showed up with your bright smiling faces and were ready to have a great time. We know that we are still a small event that is growing each year and may need to make changes here and there to get better and better, so Mahalo to you all for your patience and understanding. We also want to send out another congratulations to the vendor reps for Pampered Chef and DoTerra who won the “attendee favorite” and “spread the word” gift cards donated by Beehive Grill. Thanks for putting forth great effort to help make this year’s festival a great success! We loved seeing your smiling faces when your names were called to the stage. Again, we truly appreciate each and every vendor, we love that enthusiasm you all showed, and hope to see you all out again next year.
And last…BUT NOT LEAST…we want to thank each and every person who helped make this year’s Utah Ukulele Festival a success. Whether you attended the festival, volunteered, participated, or just think the idea of having an ukulele festival is awesome (which it is wink emoticon ), we want to thank you for your encouragement, well wishes, and aloha. You help us to continue on our quest in spreading the Aloha Spirit to our little community here in Cache Valley, so we want to say Mahalo to each of you. We truly feel blessed in having your support and encouragement. We hope to continue on our journey of sharing our love of the ukulele and the Polynesian culture for years to come.
Now with that all being said…(drum roll)…mark your calendars for August 6th, 2016 for the 4th Annual Utah Ukulele Festival®, which will once again be held at Willow Park in Logan, Utah. We hope to make it even better!!! We will see you all there next year!
